A group of friends having professional education of similar views in social work came together to work for the most marginalized people of the society.  The focus was to target the urban poor, especially the groups which were most vulnerable and target areas which had poor access to government facilities as a result of their location. Hence “Pragya Social Organization” was formed and registered under the Madhya Pradesh Societies’ Registration Act 1973 on 7^th August 2003 to work with such communities, especially with children and women. The organization has been working continuously for the last 22 years on various issues of social development and welfare i.e., Environment, Sustainable Livelihood, HIV-AIDS, Rural development, Women health, Different ability, Impact & Need base Assessment etc.
